Tyler Elementary is registered in three different grocery store fund raising programs:
- Harris Teeter’s Together In Education (TIE)
- Giant Food A+ Bonus Bucks
- eScrip (Safeway)
When you, your family or friends make purchases at any of the above grocery stores using your VIC, Giant or Club cards (or through eScrip, using registered credit cards, department store charge cards or making purchases on certain websites), the stores contribute a percentage of those purchase dollars to Tyler! Sounds easy, right? It is!
For your convenience, the Tyler PTA is happy to help register your cards for you. (Even if you have registered your cards in the past, your card must RE-registered every school year!) Harris Teeter and Giant Food shoppers have it REALLY easy. We just need your name and card number…that’s it! Please send your first and last name and full card number to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Feel free to give this info to ANY of your family and friends who shop at Harris Teeter or Giant stores; they do not have to live in the DC area. Safeway shoppers can register their card numbers through eScrip. (Please note, at present it appears that you must have an actual Safeway Club Card number. Those of us who have been using our phone numbers for years might just have to sign up for a new card. More details to come.) For anyone who has a number, follow this link: http://www.escrip.com/program/3ways/index.jsp Because eScrip is not only for Safeway, we recommend that EVERYONE browse through the different options they provide (other grocery stores include VONS, Piggly Wiggly, Genuardi’s, Dominick’s, Pavilion’s, and many more!) You can even register your Macy’s, MasterCard, VISA, American Express and Discover cards (that list goes on, too)! Remember, all participating stores/cards contribute a percentage of purchase dollars to Tyler! Spread the word (and the link!) http://www.escrip.com/program/3ways/index.jsp All funds collected will be used to support the Tyler family in big and small ways: whether to buy goldenrod paper for the Tuesday Tyler Times, provide meals at meetings, or to purchase supplies and materials that our classrooms might need, just to name a few. Every penny counts!
